“Encrypted” — in plain English: the little we do store is scrambled with strong encryption. To anyone without the key, it reads like meaningless garbage — random characters, no names, no faces, nothing usable. Only the key turns it back into real information, and we guard that key carefully and keep it separate. So even in the worst case — a stolen drive, a breach — what’s taken is unreadable.
